150 Years Shooting Club

The German word 'Schützenfest' could be translated as 'fair with shooting competetion', but this translation misses the point. The Schützenfest (literally: shooters celebration) takes place once a year. From July 6th until July 11th 2000, the Uelsen shooters celebrated the 150th year of their club. The club is the oldest at Uelsen.

On this occasion, several Bogengemeinschaften (literally: arc communities) designed 16 arcs, which were erected throughout the village. See photos of some arcs below. Listen also to the 'Uelsen Song'.
